“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7 (KJV)
Devotional:
Sometimes we carry things God never intended for us to hold. Worry, fear, stress, responsibility—things we pick up and try to solve in our own strength. But the invitation of God is simple yet powerful: cast it. Let it go. Give it to Me.
Prayer is the exchange zone. It’s where you come heavy and leave light. Where you come burdened and walk away free. God cares about every single detail—nothing is too small, too messy, or too complicated for Him. He sees it, He knows it, and He wants you to release it.
The enemy wants you weighed down. God wants you free. Every time you release a burden in prayer, you step closer to freedom, peace, and clarity. Don’t hold it another day. Release it—and trust that He’s already working it out.
Holding onto the weight only delays your peace. There is no prize for struggling alone. Jesus offers rest, relief, and restoration. What burdens you today may become the very testimony of God’s faithfulness tomorrow—but only when you surrender it. His hands are stronger than yours. Let Him carry it.
Reflection:
What burdens am I still carrying?
What does it look like for me to truly release them to God today?
Prayer:
Father, I lay every burden at Your feet. The things that are too heavy for me are light for You. I trust You to handle what I cannot. Give me rest, peace, and the assurance that You are working on my behalf. In Jesus’ name, amen.
