“Pray without ceasing.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (KJV)
Devotional:
Prayer isn’t something we do occasionally—it’s a lifestyle. A constant conversation with our Heavenly Father. It’s easy to grow weary when answers seem delayed or when battles feel overwhelming, but persistence in prayer is a demonstration of our trust in God’s timing and sovereignty.
The enemy hopes you’ll give up. He hopes the silence convinces you that nothing is changing. But the truth is, every time you pray, heaven is moving on your behalf—even when you can’t see it yet.
Persistent prayer isn’t begging; it’s believing. It’s showing up every day, saying, “Lord, I trust You. I’m still here. I still believe.” And God honors that kind of faith.
Reflection:
Where have I grown weary in prayer?
What breakthrough am I still believing for?
How can I cultivate a daily habit of prayer?
Prayer:
Father, thank You for being a faithful God who hears me. Strengthen me when I grow weary. Teach me to press in, to trust Your timing, and to never give up. I choose to pray without ceasing and believe that You are always working behind the scenes. In Jesus’ name, amen.
