Faith Over Fear

“God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)

Devotional:
Fear is one of the enemy’s most used tactics against women of faith. It whispers that you can’t, that you’re not enough, or that you’ll fail. But God did not author fear—He authored faith. When fear rises, it’s a cue to press into prayer, to remind yourself of who you are and whose you are. God has given you power to stand, love to sustain you, and a sound mind anchored in His truth. You were never meant to live small, bound by fear. Choose faith. Speak faith. Pray faith. Fear has no place here.

Fear is a master deceiver. It whispers lies, magnifies problems, and tries to convince us that the worst will happen. Fear makes us forget who we are and, more importantly, whose we are. But the Word of God is clear: fear is not from God.

When fear rises, it’s a signal—not of danger, but of an opportunity to lean into faith. Prayer is where we exchange fear for faith, anxiety for assurance, and doubt for divine confidence. God has already equipped us with what we need: power, love, and a sound mind. Power to stand. Love that covers. And a sound mind that is clear, focused, and grounded in truth.

Fear cannot coexist with faith when you stand on God’s promises. Every time you pray, you push fear further away and pull heaven closer. Declare today that fear has no place in your mind, your home, your decisions, or your future. You are a woman of faith, and God’s Spirit within you is greater than anything against you.

Reflection:
→ What fear am I confronting right now?
→ How can I replace fear-based thoughts with faith-based truth?

Prayer:
Father, I reject every spirit of fear. You have given me power, love, and a sound mind. I choose to believe You over every lie the enemy has spoken. Strengthen my faith and help me walk boldly in everything You’ve called me to do. In Jesus’ name, amen.
